Tierra Narrative is a Central American production house creating spaces for transnational conversations and collaborations between the Central American diaspora and the homelands.
TN has programmed film screenings, curated poetry readings, and hosted conversations with the Hemispheric Institute of Performance & Politics, Open Society Foundations, Allied Media Conference, The People’s Forum, and Xamanil Kaqchikel Jay–– addressing subjects such as migration, displacement, indigeneity, activism, and our relationship to other diasporic populations. This plurality aims toward collective authorship while raising the visibility of Central Americans across geographies.
Group exhibitions include Moving Walls 25: Another Way Home, and Conexiones, a virtual reality public installation. As Open Society 2019 Fellows, alongside Family Reunion Project, Tierra Narrative exhibited public pop-up installations in migrant communities throughout New York.
